Please join me when I give the free on-line talk ‘An (Almost) A to Z of Modern Scottish Women Artists for Museums & Galleries Edinburgh to mark International Women’s Day on Monday 8 March 2021.
I will discuss Scottish women artists who were active during the period of approximately 1900 to 1975. We will start with Mary Armour (1902-2000) and will finish with Anna Zinkeisen (1901-76). Dorothy Johnstone (1892-1980) will also feature and you can see her Rest Time in the Life Class of 1923 above. The talk will be illustrated with works of art in UK public collections.
The title includes ‘almost’ as I have still to find artists whose surnames begin with the letters I, V and X – any suggestions would be gratefully received!
Free tickets for the talk can be booked through Eventbrite here.
