Joyce W. Cairns: First Female RSA President

There’s a great feature in today’s Sunday National newspaper marking the second anniversary of the artist Joyce W. Cairns becoming the first female president of the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture.

Greg Russell, ‘RSA first female president reflects on two years in role that crossed gender barrier’, Sunday National, 22 November 2020, p. 14

My essay ‘The First Women of the Royal Scottish Academy’, featuring Cairns, is going to be published on the Academy’s and Art UK‘s websites next week.
