I am delighted that my feature for Leicester Museum & Galleries about the modern Scottish art in their collection has gone live on their newly launched website.

Leicester Museum & Art Gallery (c) Perth & Kinross Council
It discusses works by John Bellany (1942-2013), Duncan Grant (1885-1978), the Scottish Colourist John Duncan Fergusson (1874-1961) and Ethel Walker (1861-1951).
I was particularly happy to write this article because I grew up in Leicester and loved visiting the museum and art gallery on New Walk as a child. Perhaps that is where my love of modern Scottish art began!
If you’d like to learn more about Fergusson, you can do so here and John Bellany is included in this blog.
