I am delighted to have been admitted to the British Art Network, which is supported by the Paul Mellon Centre and Tate.
The British Art Network
The British Art Network describes itself as ‘a community of curators, academics, artist-researchers, conservators, producers and programmers at all stages of their professional lives’. It ‘provides funding and practical support to help Members explore, connect and share research focused on curatorial issues and themes’. To be admitted, I had to be considered to be ‘actively engaged in caring for, developing and presenting British art, whether in museums, galleries, heritage settings, art spaces, or working independently in published form or in educational settings, across the UK and beyond’.

A New Member
I met the criteria thanks to my work whilst a Senior Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the National Galleries of Scotland (NGS), as well as my on-going indepedent practice as an art historian. Current projects include those for the NGS and Tate, as well through various Trusteeships, including those for the Hugo Burge Foundation (HBF) and the Lund Humphries Foundation for Visual Arts (LHFVA).
